PROJECT / CASE FOR CHANGE
The GSMA is as an organisation representing close to 800 telecommunications operators. ‘Leveraging technology and connectivity’, they spearhead the mobile industry’s ambition to meet the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
In order to meet that ambition, they needed to garner backing from governmental bodies to help with everything from funding to policy changes.
To get that backing, they needed to show that they had the backing of the most influential and connected generation in history, millennials.
THE IDEA
Send a Case For Change around the world to capture the stories of the power of mobile.
Capturing the voice of an entire generation
The Case For Change movement blended the idea of making a ‘case for change’ with a physical case that equipped relevant influencers with the tools to tell the stories of the impact that mobile operators were already making.
Travelling to 20 countries across 5 continents, the stories ranged from how mobile is slowing climate change in Mont Blanc to how it’s revolutionising farming in Sri Lanka.
The aim? To capture the collective support of millennials so that that governmental bodies couldn’t ignore the power of mobile.
